First Entry

 Good Afternoon!


This is Friday, August 5th, 2022. We're in the main month of Leo Season as well as my birthday season. I have three grown daughters and today is also her birthday. My middle daughter's was earlier this week and my youngest rebelled, hers being in June, lol.


This is my third month on my own and I have to say, I'm just beginning to feel comfortable. The only unease I've felt was only on the first night I slept alone. Other than that (not mentioning a couple of incidents with freakishly large pests that shall remain unmentioned) I've had no problem whatsoever with being alone. I'm mean, yes I feel a sting when handing over my money on the first to pay rent (something I never had to do before). But I think the peace I attain my living alone more than makes up for it. :)

Retraction of Prior Title

  I literally looked up and it's been more than a month since my last post, to which the only thing I have to say is.... That was not, nor has it ever been my intention to leave that much of  a gap in this new (or semi-new) endeavor. But I've said all of that to say I no longer hate planks, yet I don't love them either. You see, several things have happened since my last post. Last week, for the first time I was able to get up off the floor by myself! It may not seem like a big deal, but for someone like me; who usually avoided the floor at all costs and considered getting up off the floor with massive amounts of dread, it's EVERYTHING. *************** Attended an online open mic I haven't been to in a while. Publication and Inspiration

 As I promised on Instagram, the following is my second poem published this month by 'Down in the Dirt' entitled 'Getting Older.' Getting Older It doesn’t stampede amid the horn blows of a cavalry charge. It sneaks up like a  ninja upon enemy territory. Health issues, laying dormant for many years; suddenly  arise. Parading themselves out of various abysses of untold depths. The body and the self-two separate entities that, after co-existing happily in youth - now  violently go their separate ways.
